Tooth Fairy's First Visit

S lost his first tooth last night. It has been loose since Monday. Last night after he finished brushing his teeth, he was at the sink twisting and pulling on it because it was just soooo loose and just hanging there. It fell out, but it fell down the drain!! Thankfully the water wasn't turned on so it didn't get washed on through the pipes. After I calmed him down, I told him that it was ok and that Mommy can get it for him. I showed him how all I needed to do was to take the elbow pipe off and it would be in there. Once he saw that, he was excited to help me be a plumber! We took off the elbow pipe but it wan't in there! Oh no! I kept thinking, "What are we going to do? My poor baby's first baby tooth is lost forever in the sewer system.." I was quickly thinking about how we could write a letter to the Tooth Fairy explaining what happened so that S would be able to go to sleep. But then I thought, there was no way it went all the way throw the elbow pipe since the water wasn't turned on when it happend. So I decided that maybe it got stuck by the stopper. Thankfully when I removed the stopper, it fell out into the bucket! YAY! The night was saved, and my little boy was not disappointed.

He then had to run downstairs to show his new gap and his tooth to Daddy and Ana. He didn't want to put it under his pillow because he was afraid it would get lost so Ana found him a little box with a "pillow" for his tooth.

He was so tired after being up a good 30 minutes past his bedtime. But he really isn't sleeping in this picture.

He woke up this morning so excited that the Tooth Fairy had left him a quarter on the little tooth pillow! The Tooth Fairy will be making another visit very soon! He already has his second loose tooth!

Happy 6th Birthday!

S had a Star Wars birthday party this year. The kids all had light sabers made out of fun noodles and Jedi robes (though they did not stay on the kids for very long).

After some training with their light sabers, the kids went through a Jedi Obstacle Course.

Then it was on to trying to destroy the Death Star. They used the light sabers at first.

Then they switched to using a bat.

FINALLY!

Lunch Time

Cake Time. I decided that it would be fun to make an R2D2 cake. It was quite a challenge but so worth it to see the look on the kids' faces. But I don't think I will attempt to make another one.

More fun with the light sabers.

Then Darth Vader entered the room!

Gift Time!

Light sabers that actually light up that Ana gave the boys after the party.
